Version 1.7.0

This release makes timing presets customizable and shareable, tidies up the Preferences screen, and fixes a few issues on the Score Keeping screen.

New Features

  • LaxClock+ users can now create, edit, and delete their own timing presets. The four built-in presets (HS Boys, HS Girls, Collegiate Mens, Collegiate Womens) are now editable defaults.
  • Timing presets can be shared as .laxclock files. Anyone can open a shared preset: LaxClock+ users get it added to their presets, and everyone else gets its settings applied.

Enhancements

  • Reorganised the Preferences screen: the Automations section was removed, with Release Penalties on Goal moved to Penalties, and Stop Time on Goal, Stop Time on Timeout, and Start Time After Break moved to Game Format.
  • Reset All Preferences now shows a warning before resetting, and also restores the default timing presets.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the game pausing when going back to Score Keeping through the side menu, or when finishing the tutorial opened from it.
  • Fixed the current period tile’s label and number jumping when the period dots hide in overtime.
  • Fixed the jersey number field scrolling vertically.


Version 1.6.0

This release saves your game state when the app is closed, adds a keypad for typing jersey numbers, and adds a few quality-of-life improvements and crash fixes.

New Features

  • The current game is now saved, so closing the app or restarting your device no longer loses the score, clocks, or penalties. When you reopen the app, the game is restored with every clock paused.
  • Added a keypad option for typing jersey numbers in the Add Penalty sheet.

Enhancements

  • A short message now shows when you reset the shot clock.
  • Players are removed from the penalty totals when their time is set to 0. The edit sheet’s button turns into a red “Remove” button when this will happen.
  • The current period tile now says “Half” or “Quarter” to match your game format, instead of “Period”.
  • Bottom sheets now stay above the keyboard.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a crash when restarting the game clock while a team had an expired penalty and a stacked penalty waiting.
  • Fixed a crash on launch that occurred if the settings file was corrupted. The app now resets the settings to their defaults instead.


Version 1.5.0

This release fixes a number of penalty, timing, and purchase bugs and polishes the edit sheets and time pickers.

Enhancements

  • The second shot clock reset time now defaults to 60 seconds when switching a single reset time to two reset times.
  • The Edit Current Penalty sheet is smoother and no longer constantly redraws while it’s open.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where adjusting the game clock and applying the change to penalties could leave some penalties with the wrong time when more than one player was serving.
  • Fixed an issue where adding a penalty could be stacked unnecessarily when an expired penalty was still listed alongside two serving penalties.
  • Fixed an issue where an edited penalty would pause if the game clock had automatically started after a break while the edit sheet was open.
  • Fixed an issue where a player’s second penalty could have the wrong time when women’s release times or time-and-a-half mode was on and the default penalty time was used.
  • Fixed an issue where quickly scrolling the seconds on a time picker would not roll over the minutes.
  • Fixed an issue where the Apply button was enabled on the Edit Current Penalty sheet for a penalty with no non-releasable time.
  • Fixed an issue where tapping Restore Purchases removed ads for the rest of the session even when there was no LaxClock+ purchase to restore.
  • Fixed a rounding error in the per-month price shown on the LaxClock+ paywall.

  • The remove button on the add penalties bottom sheet now only shows when there is more than 1 penalty added.

  • Fixed issue where timers moved slightly with every tick.
  • Fixed issue where starting and stopping the time in under a second repeatedly would result in no time being run off the clock.

Fixed a couple of bugs related to stacked penalties and total penalty times, as well as a new preference that allows users to foul out players based on the number of personal fouls committed.
